JUNAEB and VentureLab signed a framework agreement which will promote a systematic, collaborative project in the fields of program implementation, improvement, training, research, consulting for the program implementation and specific projects for the nutritional program, which will benefit more than three million public school students.
This framework agreement will initiate the creation of the “Center for Innovation and Research in Healthy Foods – BioSmart” which will work on finding solutions for JUNAEB’s (The National Board of Student Aid and Scholarships) needs from its own innovative materials in functional foods, traceability, food safety, supplies, manufacturing processes, delivery service, and packing.
Venturel@b Won the Most Important Innovation Award in the Country
Avonni 2009, the Innovation Award gives an important recognition to people, companies, public and private institutions due to its development in innovative projects, which are a great contribution to the growth of the country. This award is granted as to promote the talent and innovation capability of businessmen, entrepreneurs, scholars, scientists and technicians. There are 20 categories that encircle the national tasks, in private or public areas.
The innovation forum, El Mercurio and TVN, in association with the Economy Ministry and the CPC jointly grant the award to the innovators.
The applications to this award are open, and it is meant to recognise people, enterprises, public and private institutions that are developing innovative projects. This is used so as to promote and give incentives to the talent and the innovative capacity for the entrepreneurs, businessmen, scholars, scientists and technicians.
The objective of the Award is to recognise those who contribute to the improvement of the life standards of Chilean people and the technological, economic and productive progress of the country through innovative business, products, services or processes.
It looks for the promotion of the development of an innovative culture inside of the institutions and companies, which will allow them to grow and remain through time.
For these reasons it is fundamental to make public as much as possible, the aspects or positive contributions made for those who are innovators in Chile, those whose work is “making the difference”.
Chilean Congress Asia-Pacific Section at VentureL@b
A delegation of the library visited VentureL@b in order to learn about our initiatives and about the Indian companies installed at VentureL@b.
The library of the Chilean Congress maintains a section about Asia-Pacific in which it informs its Chilean audience about this region, focusing on economics, politics and culture, which is of growing importance for Chile. The main focus is on Chile’s collaborations with Asia-Pacific and on the Indian companies installed in Chile.
